Overview Company: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Job Area: Engineering Group, Hardware Engineering This role independently plans and executes moderately-defined responsibilities for test solutions, bring up, debugging, validation and qualification of new product functionality. It involves delivering test hardware, and developing test programs to validate system-in-package (SIP) products that integrate system-on-chip (SOC) and companion chips using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). The work includes hardware/software test, characterization, and evaluating device performance over process and operating conditions, with the goal of releasing cost-effective production test solutions into high-volume manufacturing. It also involves developing manufacturing solutions for leading-edge products using Design for Test (DFT) and structural test techniques, and interfacing with RF, Analog and Digital IC designers, Software, System Engineering, and Customer Engineering to drive and implement test solutions in production programs to improve yield, test time, and quality. The candidate should be a strong contributor in design reviews and project meetings. Telecommuting: May be permitted. When not telecommuting, report to Qualcomm’s office location(s) in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities Plan, perform, and deliver test hardware and test programs for SIP/SOC products. Bring up, debug, validate, and qualify new product functionality and production test solutions. Perform hardware/software tests, characterization, and assess device performance across process and operating conditions. Develop manufacturing test solutions using DFT and structural tests for high-volume production. Interface with RF, Analog and Digital IC designers, Software, System Engineering, and Customer Engineering to incorporate latest test solutions into production programs. Contribute to design reviews and project meetings to improve yield, test time, and quality. Qualifications Education: Will accept a Master’s Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in these fields with five (5) years of progressive related experience.
