Overview Hardware Systems Integration Engineer at Zoox. The SW-HIL team designs, builds, deploys, and maintains the vehicle platform test infrastructure, overseeing the deployment and integration of compute, sensor, and data networking systems in tests for autonomous vehicles. This role is fundamental to the integration and execution of Zoox’s self-driving vehicle program, ensuring that the organization has comprehensive test coverage to ensure the vehicle and its subsystems operate predictably at all times. In This Role, You Will Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, system architecture, firmware development, and firmware validation teams to define, design, develop, and review test infrastructure design. Develop processes and workflows to improve test infrastructure stability and sustainability. Create and manage BOM for test assets utilizing industry standard tools (Catia, Enovia, etc) Develop early prototypes and proofs-of-concept to de-risk new technologies. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Systems Engineering, or related field with 2+ Years of experience Technical experience debugging software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices Experience designing/developing harnessing, test fixtures, and test systems Experience with lab equipment, data acquisition equipment Experience in Linux, command line interfaces, basic scripting, and coding principles. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD design (CATIA) and/or Circuit design (Schematic Capture, Layout) Experience with complex distributed systems (automotive or aerospace) PhD in Electrical, Mechanical or similar background Compensation $125,000 - $175,000 a year Base Salary Range There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate\'s relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
