About the role
Google's custom-designed machines make up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. Working closely with design engineers, you provide input on designs to improve hardware to meet Google's standards of quality and reliability.
In this role, you will validate hardware design, software tooling and process workflows for L10/L11 systems. You will own verification strategy and drive test execution across a portfolio of projects, ranging from network switches to machine learning pods. You will reduce the time and cost for L10/L11 installation, maintenance, and repairs. You will interface with stakeholders from Data Center, Manufacturing and Product Design to identify and validate operational risks.
