Overview Hardware Reliability Engineer (Failure Analysis) at OSI Engineering Our hardware reliability team is looking for a visionary and detail-oriented engineer who can lead and execute reliability tests on Main Logic Boards, identify issues with Hardware module integration through FMEA, system reliability testing, failure analysis, and quantify the reliability of a design. Responsibilities 2-6 years of development and execution of detailed test plans and compiling test & failure data. Statistical data analysis to provide risk assessments for the product design. Research failure modes for new technologies to perform extensive FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis). Advanced experience with Excel, Keynote, and some Tableau. Prioritizing and completing tasks to meet deadlines. Providing design recommendations to cross-functional teams to improve product reliability. Interacting with a wide variety of individuals and teams to communicate results. Qualifications Experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing & Environmental Tests. In-depth understanding of failure analysis analytical techniques. Knowledge of standards for semiconductor package qualifications. Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide concise summaries to senior executive teams and drive in-depth discussions with cross-functional teams. Great attention to detail to drive architecture in the early phase of projects. Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects at the same time. Education M.S. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or an equivalent field. Experience with semiconductor packages or consumer electronics is a plus. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
