Overview

We’re working with a startup developing a low-cost electric motorcycle for emerging markets, designed with built-in theft protection. They are looking for a Sr Hardware Security Embedded Engineer. You’ll lead the design and ownership of the embedded security platform, ensuring vehicles remain secure in real-world, high-risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop secure firmware for custom security modules.
• Implement anti-tamper, anti-theft, and authentication features.
• Integrate cryptographic protocols and secure elements into embedded systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on board-level design and secure component selection.
• Ensure secure boot, firmware integrity, and resistance to physical attacks.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded systems experience in security-critical applications.
• Strong C/C++ firmware development for microcontrollers and secure elements.
• Expertise in applied cryptography, secure bootloaders, and firmware signing.
• Experience in adversarial domains (e.g., IoT, automotive, payments, crypto).
• Ability to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions independently.
