Be part of a team of subject matter experts in EEE Components. We provide electronic parts knowledge and technical expertise to meet part requirements throughout the product development and life cycle. The Component Engineer is responsible for providing knowledge and expertise in selection, specification, application, and qualification of electronic parts for use in high reliability applications.

This position will require interfacing with, and leading design teams to assure reliable application of parts and interfacing with suppliers to assess part performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with various engineering functional teams to select EEE components for high reliability applications.
2. Support EEE Component Selection and Validation efforts.
3. Support EEE Component Failure Investigations.
4. Perform Part Assessments.
5. Perform specification review.
6. Develop specifications that define screening and qualification requirements of EEE components.
7. Communicate any non-compliance incidents to pertinent parties.
8. Use engineering tools to perform part assessments and obsolescence analysis.
9. Execute project subtasks in order to meet customer specifications (designing, testing, etc).
10. Identify areas for technical improvement using engineering knowledge and principles.

Travel within US and/or internationally may be required - 10%.

Non-Incentive Eligible OR Incentive Eligible.
Salary Range: $77,700 - $117,000.

YOU MUST HAVE

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Aeronautics preferred).
2. 1+ years of experience in design, development or manufacturing of electronic hardware.
3. 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
4. Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

WE VALUE

1. Familiarity with military specifications (e.g. MIL-PRF-19500) and standards (e.g. MIL-STD-883) for EEE components.
2. Understanding of physics behind EEE part construction such as die material, substrate, package, etc.
3. Capability to apply broad knowledge of one professional discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices.
4. Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
5. Capability to update or modify working methods in your role by following defined procedures.
6. Interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams.
7. Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity.
8. Dexterity to evaluate and recommend technical solutions based on standard or accepted technical practices.
