We are actively recruiting for a Hardware Engineer, Level 1 to support our Engineering Services and Solutions Division, based in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex hardware systems and provide hardware engineering expertise.
• Support hardware design and architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues.
• Procure equipment and perform acceptance testing.
• Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial.
• Deploy, install, and implement hardware at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Prepare specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages.
• Organize and direct hardware installations.
• Configure and document configuration of computers, networking devices, and various peripheral equipment.
• Prepare site installation and test reports; identify problems and ensure solutions satisfy user requirements.
• Prepare reports and recommendations on existing and emerging hardware technologies.
• Provide input to hardware components of system design, including end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional hardware design engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Must have a current TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

Salary and Benefits

Pay Range: $175,000.00 - $190,000.00. The final salary is influenced by factors such as location, government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
