Our client, a leading boutique Security, Investigations, and Risk Management firm, is seeking a strong recruiter with extensive industry experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will come from high volume Security, Personal Security, Law Enforcement/Military Recruiting roles, with a high level of detail and confidentiality. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN SECURITY ENVIRONMENTS.

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Key responsibilities

  • Recruitment strategy and planning: Partner with security management to understand staffing needs, create and post detailed job descriptions, and develop effective recruitment strategies to attract suitable candidates.
  • Sourcing and candidate pipeline: Attract and source qualified security professionals using multiple channels, including online job boards, social media, industry-specific forums, and local professional networks.
  • Candidate screening and evaluation: Screen resumes for relevant experience, conduct initial phone screenings and interviews, and assess candidates\' skills, experience, and fitness for duty. Must be able to vet candidates for professionalism, integrity, and situational awareness.
  • Interview coordination: Arrange and coordinate follow-up interviews, including interviews with security managers, to ensure a thorough evaluation of all candidates.
  • Pre-employment screening management: Manage all aspects of pre-employment screening, including:

Thorough background and reference checks

Guard card verification

License verification for armed guards or specialized roles

Coordination of drug screenings, as required

  • Candidate relationship management: Act as a main point of contact for candidates, guiding them through the selection process and ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
  • Offer negotiation and closing: Work with hiring managers to determine appropriate compensation, extend job offers, and negotiate terms with candidates.
  • Compliance and administration: Ensure all hiring and selection procedures comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations relevant to the security industry.
  • Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including processing new hire paperwork, entering data into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and coordinating initial training schedules.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Recruiter, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the security or a related industry.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and build rapport.
  • Soft skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills. Must possess integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with recruiting best practices and regulations specific to hiring security personnel. Experience with background and drug screening processes is a plus.
  • Technical aptitude: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), social media for recruitment, and standard office software.
