Summary:
Reviews applications and resumes and forwards to departments if applicants meet minimum requirements for the position. Interviews applicants and recommends to departments. Processes new hires by providing the offer letters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Recruiter Responsibilities:
- Reviews applications and resumes, and sources candidates for interviews.
- Reviews packets with new hires, sets Gaming appointments, and follows up on status with management.
- Prepares new hire weekly orientation list for HR Manager and distributes list.
- Reconciles Advertising invoices.
- Monitors employee referral program weekly on new hires and requests checks.
- Prepares check requests as needed.
- Processes new hires by providing them with Offer Letter, verifies compensation and other information is accurate and within requisition and company guidelines, Gaming application and appt., drug testing form, etc.
- Processes and attends Job Fairs on and off property.
- Assists employees with career advancement.
- Checks references as needed.
- Reports various activities to HRD (e.g. positions open and closed, hired that week, pending hires, etc.)
- Provides monthly reports such as personnel requisitions to Managers.
- Update job list.
- Conducts and organizes new hire orientation as needed.
Background Investigator Responsibilities:
- Conduct background and resort permit licensing investigation on all non-licensed employee applicants.
- Prepare written reports regarding resort permit licensing and permit denials.
- Completes investigative reports.
- Utilizes criminal investigations sources to access information on individuals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- 2+ years recruiting experience with 1+ years of HR experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Should also have excellent people skills.
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Basic office skills including typing 45+ wpm. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of how to use the Internet required.
- Applicant tracking, Novatime and Infinium systems preferred. Powerpoint a plus.
- Must be able to obtain a Gaming License by passing a background check which includes drug screening, financial, criminal and references.
- Previous HR casino and hospitality experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management and/or related area or equivalent work experience and/or PHR or SPRH Certification a plus.
- Interviewing, report writing and investigative skills required.
- Attention to Detail and handling sensitive information professionally and with accuracy.
