The Role
At Inspira Education Group, we recognize that our people are our greatest asset, and we are excited to grow our team. We are on the lookout for an exceptional people ops lead to join our dynamic talent acquisition team. As an in-house people operations lead, you’ll work directly with our founders to build a high-performance team that will define the future of our startup. This is more than just a recruiting and HR role. You’ll be shaping how we hire, who we hire, and the culture we build. You’ll be responsible for bringing in functional heads and key leaders as we scale, leaving behind a lasting mark on the company. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of specialized experience in recruitment and HR and will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the entire hiring process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and securing top-tier talent. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of attracting and retaining exceptional individuals who will drive our organization forward.
This is a hybrid role, which would involve working from our Manhattan office 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday).

Recruiting Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Lead end-to-end recruiting for a portfolio of non-technical searches (across departments and levels), including sourcing, screening, managing interview processes, extending offers, and ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Build and manage candidate pipelines through proactive outreach, leveraging automation, AI tools, and creative sourcing techniques to surface high-quality candidates
- Hiring Manager Partnership
- Partner closely with stakeholders across the business to understand talent needs, define role requirements, build structured interview processes, and develop recruitment strategies that drive exceptional hiring decisions
- Strategic Support
- Tap into existing systems and best practices while continuously identifying ways to improve tools, workflows, and the candidate experience
People Ops Responsibilities
- Be a trusted advisor to founders on employee relations, performance, engagement, and development
- Support onboarding, performance management, and feedback cycles
- Partner with leadership to evolve our org structure, career paths, and compensation bands
- Help scale HR systems, processes, and policies in a fast-growing environment
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture
- Stay informed on employment laws and ensure compliance across the organization
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in full-cycle recruitment and scaling a startup
- Full-stack People Ops/HR experience
- Experience sourcing, recruiting, and hiring for net new Heads of Department, Individual Contributors, Sr. Level, Management Level, and C-Suite positions
- Self-starter with the ability to think independently and creatively solve problems
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent understanding of sourcing passive candidates with data-driven outreach
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Effective communication skills across written, verbal, and presentations
- Strong analytical and data analysis capabilities
- In-house recruiting and people ops experience is a must

Compensation: The targeted total compensation range for this role is $100,000-$130,000 (including performance bonus and stock option grant). Actual salary depends on experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic location.
