We are delighted to be working with an organisation on the outskirts of Newcastle City Centre to recruit a HR Administrator on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Whether you are just starting your HR career or bringing administrative experience from another sector, this role offers the chance to grow and thrive in a supportive, friendly, and dynamic team.
You will be part of the People Operations team, providing day-to-day administrative support across the HR function and acting as a first point of contact for a variety of People related queries.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the starters and leavers processes, including handling relevant documentation via a shared mailbox.
Process incoming and a small volume of outgoing post.
Track and maintain accurate sickness absence records, updating internal systems (HR platforms and payroll) with relevant data including fit notes and return-to-work forms.
Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries through the central inbox.
Administer the internal Communications mailbox.
Support general HR office tasks including filing, photocopying, and document preparation.
Draft formal documentation such as employment references, contract changes, and flexible working agreements.
Assist with purchase orders, invoice processing, and liaising with the Finance team as needed.
Provide ad hoc support on various People-related projects.
