Job Summary:
Provide service to all employees by compiling and maintaining human resources records and documentation related to compensation, benefits, HRIS, and payroll. Acts as a resource to all employees by providing information and answers to HR-related questions. This is an entry level HR role that works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision, has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or work experience. The person will conduct all the hourly hiring for the site.
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with employee relations issues in all aspects of HR
- General HR administrative support and systems management. Working in Dayforce, WFM, Verified First, I9 system and other systems as needed.
- While working through WFM, hiring all hourly employees, conducting background checks, ensure the I9 and E-verify is complete and correct.
- Conduct new employee orientations as needed
- Facilitation new hire benefit training and annual open enrollment
- Conduct and run employee morale events, HR Communication station.
- Assist with managers or supervisors that are dealing with employee complaints to Ensure there is a resolution that follows the policies and procedures of the company
- Accountable for accurate data entry, understanding current HRIS processes, and partnering with business leaders to ensure data integrity.
- Partners with leaders to assist employees on HR topics including but not limited to explanation of benefits, payroll issues, STD, unemployment, and other HR information.
- Assists with company-wide processes such as annual enrollment, performance management etc.
- Coordinates, documents, and maintains internal job transfers, seniority lists, and associated data.
- Maintain current, accurate and confidential personnel records for hourly employees.
- Protects employee data and handles all information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide employees and leaders with accurate and timely information.
- Works on miscellaneous HR projects.
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Knowledge of and skills in:
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and how they apply to the organization.
- Knowledge of Benefit Administration.
- Knowledge of Payroll and Time Administration.
- Knowledge of Employee and Labor Relations.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Able to build trust and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail
- Good judgment
- Ability to work individually and as a part of a team.
- Willingness to manage and maintain multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

- Ensure collaborative relationships with customers, regulatory agencies and Maker’s pride staff.

- Work is primarily done in an office setting.
- Infrequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting at a work station for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business preferred
- 2 or more years of related HR experience
