Position Overview: Loenbro, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team in Rapid City, IA. Working with the People Operations team this role is responsible for supporting a wide range of HR functions including onboarding of new hires, compliance, and benefit administration. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong foundation in HR practices, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with leadership to onboard new employees by welcoming them to Loenbro and ensuring they have a solid start to their employment with Loenbro Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation
· Maintain and update a comprehensive database of employee information to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and best practices
· Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility
· As directed, administer employee programs related to compensation, benefits, leaves, and recognition
· Support performance management processes
· As directed, assist with internal investigations, disciplinary actions and employee separations
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
· Stay informed on HR best practices, labor law updates, and emerging HR technologies
· Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role
· SHRM or HRCI certification (preferred but not required)
· Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices
· Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities
· Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products
· Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS) with the ability to quickly learn new systems
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
· Willingness to travel, occasionally with short notice
