As a result of our ongoing growth, we are seeking an HR Generalist to join our HR Consulting Services team. This is an ideal role for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a client-facing role providing a wide variety of HR support and solutions to meet our clients’ needs as part of a collaborative team. This role can be hybrid if you live near Norwalk, CT, or remote if you’re not within commuting distance.
How you\'ll make an impact
- Full benefits administration, including but not limited to general benefits administration, monthly benefit reconciliation and managing open enrollment
- Leave of absence administration across multiple states
- Onboarding and termination administration
- HRIS support - working in various systems
- Assisting with policy development
- Ensuring clients are in compliance with state and federal laws
- Employee relations
- Performance management, including researching platforms, developing programs, and full administration
- Job description development and FLSA guidance
- Serving as a mentor and point of escalation to our junior team members
- Additional HR Generalist duties as needed
About You
- 5 – 8+ years of experience within a dedicated HR function
- Experience with benefits, employee relations, and/or policy and procedures development
- Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations and Human Resources practices
- Experience managing leave of absence cases, ideally across multiple states
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and an understanding of general business practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and interact with all levels of management
- Highly organized, able to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
- High level of proficiency with Excel and HRIS/Payroll platforms and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed
- Knowledge of HRIS systems preferred
Base: $34-$42/hourly
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
