THE POSITION As an HR Assistant, you will collaborate with the HR Department on various projects while independently managing your own responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 1-2years of experience or exposure to an HR department or administrative office setting. In this role, you will manage employee records, oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, and support employee engagement initiatives.Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with fluency in both Spanish and English. Your attention to detail, growth mindset, and passion for working with people will be key in supporting the organization’s HR strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the onboarding process, including but not limited to:
  • Processing new hires in the HRIS systems (Arcoro, ExakTime, CMiC).
  • Leading orientation meetings for new employees.
  • Completing I-9 forms and E-Verify submissions.
  • Keep employee profiles and records up to date in the HRIS and on the network.
  • Make sure all employees complete their required compliance training.
  • Help the HR Manager ensure the company follows all labor laws and regulations.
  • Run regular audits to check that we are following both internal policies and external rules.
  • Track Leaves of Absence and keep an eye on attendance.
  • Manage HR calendars.
  • Handle employee benefits enrollment, like health insurance and retirement plans, and help employees with any questions.
  • Guide employees through filing claims and fixing issues with benefit providers.
  • Process employment verifications.
  • Step in to support when needed and take on othertasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • 1-2 years' experience working in human resources or an office setting, preferred.
  • High Diploma or Equivalent, required. Associate's degree, preferred.
  • Familiarity with the electrical contractor or construction industry preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to build relationships and handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
  • Trustworthy and positive.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Arcoro, ExakTime, and CMiC preferred.
  • Interest in labor laws and regulations, such as FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and HR best practices and procedures.

Pay ranges from $24 - $26 Hourly
