Overview
HR Generalist at Wheatland Bank, Division of Glacier Bank. The Human Resources Generalist will assist the HR department to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, and activities of the Human Resource (HR) department primarily through benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, recruitment/employment, payroll, employment law compliance, and overall departmental support.
Position details
The pay scale for this position is: $23.40 - $35.10/hour.
Principal responsibilities and duties
- Ensure employee files are accurate, complete, and in compliance with policy
- Ensure timecards and all other required information are accurate and approved for payroll
- Assist with the recruitment process: open positions, filter applicants, send offer letters, offer packets, ensure onboarding and new hire checklists are completed, facilitate HR onboarding
- Assist with maintaining the Bank’s job descriptions
- Assist in the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Assist with ensuring training compliance throughout the division
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with handbook acknowledgement, open enrollment, ergonomic assessments, etc.
- Ensure company compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA and other federal, state, and local laws
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
- Assist in project work in the area of employment, employee communications, employee events, benefits and salary administration
- Responsible for managing employee recognition platform

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience in a clerical environment
- Prior banking experience, preferred
- Prior HR experience or education, preferred

Work environment
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on geographic location.
