Summary
We are searching for a detail-oriented, high-performing HR Coordinator to p erform a wide range of human resources functions that supports company goals, standards, team members, and employees in a continuously growing and changing workforce. Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assists with full-cycle recruiting and selection process of new employees, including conducting background checks, coordinating pre-employment testing, conducting phone screens, and coordinating/conducting new employee Orientation.
Provides front desk services by assisting employees, greeting and assisting visitors, answering phone calls, and addressing inquiries.
Manages applicant flow within electronic Applicant Tracking System and candidate activity in electronic Onboarding system and assists with posting job openings as needed.
Handles employee relations and issues as they arise by working with employees and management to assist with appropriate documentation and conversations.
Assists with coordination of employee meetings and events.
Assists with recruitment marketing strategies and supports strategic recruiting plan for regional colleges, universities, trade schools and job fairs.
Represents the company at various industry and careers outreach events.
Documents and maintains employee records, including filing, auditing, and scanning of documents.
Works effectively with employees at all levels of the organization in a professional, confidential, and sensitive manner.
Handles intercompany and all incoming mail and packages, ensures delivery to applicable individuals or departments.
Monitors inventory and orders supplies as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree in office management, Human Resources, or related field of study; and
- 2 years of experience in human resources field; or
- a combination of education and experience that supports and exhibits competence to perform key HR functions.
Language Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Skills in operating a personal computer and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Management systems.
- Recruitment/selection experience and knowledge extremely helpful.
- Sufficient experience and understanding of current federal, state, local, and labor laws to be able to interpret and guide others as well as protect and monitor company actions/needs ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
- Must be comfortable in a role with a variety of challenges that require discretionary judgment and solid understanding of people, issues, and impact.
- Must be able to take direction and perform required tasks independently.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
- Understanding or experience working with a diverse employee population is very helpful.
- Multiple site experience is beneficial to understand the complexity of dealing with multiple companies/departments under the corporate umbrella.
