Overview
Location: Kansas City, MO facility. Reports to the Vice President, Human Resources. The HR Manager will partner with the Business Units to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to GR Generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may administer routine tasks in delicate circumstances (e.g., reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations, terminations).
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 7+ years of human resources experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
