We offer emergency and environmental services for commercial, public facility, and multi-family housing managers. We quickly and effectively resolve issues to ensure the health and safety of building occupants, with a strong orientation toward customer success and minimizing costs, risks, and impact on operations and people. Our headquarters are in San Francisco, positioning us to respond within 90 minutes or less to every call. Reporting directly to the President, provide comprehensive and confidential support to the Ideal team, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of HR procedures and contributing to a positive and compliant work environment. Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate HR procedures and employee safety compliance needs; play a key role in onboarding and offboarding. Conduct new hire orientations, collect new hire paperwork, and manage account setups. Maintain employee files in our HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality; assist with benefit and workers' compensation administration. Assist with recruiting, including job postings, resume review, phone screens, offer letters, and background checks. Support HR compliance by maintaining employee certification files, tracking deadlines for performance evaluations and annual training, and assisting with injury response and follow-up. Collaborate on training and development programs, safety awareness initiatives, and building maintenance requests. Coordinate and occasionally present at company meetings; order office supplies and employee uniforms; provide administrative support to various departments as needed. What are we looking for? 1-3 years of office or HR experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, maintaining confidentiality. Knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite. Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience in planning events and building company culture is a plus. Ability to adjust tasks with changing deadlines and priorities. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints of staff or guests. Ability to present information to management and staff effectively. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Availability during standard business hours (Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch), with occasional overtime or schedule adjustments as needed. Being bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred. Physical requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, lift/carry up to 30 lbs, operate a computer, sit for extended periods, communicate in-person/virtually/at distances, and drive with access to reliable transportation to offices. Benefits and compensation Starting wage $23-25/hour (DOE), with medical, dental, 401k, PTO accrual, 10 paid holidays, and other benefits. Ideal covers 90% of employees and 25% of dependent medical insurance premiums. Work location Ideal Restoration headquarters: 1499 Evans Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94124 (with easy access to free parking).
