Job Description

Responsibilities

• Cashiers provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at checkout and/or returns; monitor the Self-Checkout area and process transactions.
• Proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized.
• Assist in supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates; provide first level escalation for customer issues and participate in training of new Cashiers.
• Support Head Cashier by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Cashier experience (preferred for Head Cashier).
