Out of the Closet Thrift Store (OTC) was founded in 1990 to help raise funds and awareness for AIDS Healthcare Foundation. To this day, when you shop or donate at Out of the Closet, 96 cents of every dollar made goes to AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s HIV prevention and treatment services. That’s why OTC is able to offer high-quality HIV testing services at all of our locations. When you choose OTC, you’re giving back to your community and making a real difference in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!

An OTC cashier contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to shoppers, donors, people seeking testing, or pharmacy patrons. Their duties include ringing up sales and answering customer questions. This position offers the opportunity to provide standout service that enhances AHF's reputation and encourages customers to return and recommend OTC to others. Improved sales performance increases AHF's ability to serve more clients.

Handling cash and credit transactions precisely protects AHF and maximizes store revenue.

The cashier can improve the experience of other OTC team members by being friendly, helpful, and offering assistance when needed. Providing feedback to management about service improvements helps team members grow and contribute more effectively.

The cashier adds value to the OTC team by adapting easily to various situations and remaining flexible.
