Overview of Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company while you process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change, and assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. Following all front end procedures, assisting with stocking shelves, facing and dusting as needed are all a part of the day for a Sprouts Farmers Market Cashier. A Cashier maintains knowledge of weekly ad items, guides customers to product locations, stays informed about events and seminars, and maintains excellent communication with the front end manager and Head Cashier. A Cashier ensures checkout areas are clean and orderly and performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor, positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction/constructive criticism and work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry product up to 30 lbs., up to 50 hours per week without mechanical assistance.
• Must move grocery carts up to 35 lbs., for up to 4 feet, up to 50 hours.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; proficient in cash handling and math; ability to read, write and count.

Pay range

The pay range for this position is $16.55 - $20.75 / hour. Pay is determined based on applicable experience and qualifications.
