Are you looking for a role in a helpful, fun, and guest-focused environment? We are seeking Cashiers to join our team and provide outstanding service to our guests. You will be a key part of our retail and grocery store team, ensuring every shopper leaves ready to return.
Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care.
What You\'ll Do
As a Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts, ensuring each guest has a pleasant and efficient shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Engage with Guests: Engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
- Efficient Transactions: Scan grocery items, process sales, and handle monetary transactions with care.
- Bagging with Care: Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in the condition they left our store.
- Stay Informed: Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
- Maintain Order: Keep your register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Communication: Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
- Teamwork: Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
- Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
What We\'re Looking For
To excel in the Cashier role at Festival Foods, you should have:
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding retail sales and service.
- Retail Experience: Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and handle cash and media at registers.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and retail team members.
- Accuracy: Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

- Stand in place for long periods; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination to operate equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, including lifting.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Work Schedule
The Cashier position is flexible, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.
