Job Responsibilities

• Greet customers, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by customers, receive the correct amount tendered by customers and provide the correct change for each transaction.
• Enact gift cards requested by customers.
• Be familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Make corrections to customer orders efficiently.
• Determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving it.
• Verify age requirements prior to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Treat all customers to ensure their complete satisfaction.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
• Keep work area neat and clean at all times.
• Clean and maintain equipment used.
• Complete requirements for in-service training, attendance, uniform and dress codes, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years related work experience.
• Prior experience in cashier or food service positions.
• Valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification.
• High level of integrity and honesty.

Working Conditions

Restaurant environment. May be required to work beyond normal hours to meet customer needs.

• Ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Frequent standing, reaching, and kneeling.
• Maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
