Job Description
Job Summary
The teller will conduct financial transactions for students and employees, process deposits, and assist in the maintenance of files.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive payments and process cash receipts
- Perform daily procedures to balance cash drawer timely and accurately
- Manage laundry coin
- Perform vault cash management
- Prepare currency/coin bags for various departments as needed
- Maintain files and storage boxes, primarily at month-end and fiscal year-end
- Perform other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility.
It is the employee and supervisor’s shared responsibility to regularly meet to discuss performance, suggest job description updates and set mutually beneficial goals. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and institutional goals.
Specific Skills and Qualifications
- Educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Clerical experience; experience as a teller or cashier is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Exemplary social skills and considerate interactions with staff, faculty, and students.
- Enjoy interacting with a diverse group of people from all backgrounds and age groups.
- Successful completion of background check, education verification, work verification, and credit check may be required.
- Ability to provide proof of Work Authorization in the U.S. and proof of identity.
- Valid driver’s license, successful clearance of Motor Vehicle Report (Driving Record).
- Some positions require proof of car insurance.
Physical Requirements
- Work in an office setting, requiring interaction with others via various communication methods and the ability to traverse campus by personal transportation.
