Job Summary: A janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings. Tasks include sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning windows, emptying trash cans, and restocking supplies. Janitors may also perform minor repairs, paint walls and furniture, and maintain outdoor areas. They must work independently and be detail-oriented to keep all areas clean and in good condition.

Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Location: Westminster, CA
Salary: $16.50-$17/hour
Essential Functions:
- Rake or sweep gravel leaves and grass trimmings off sidewalks, paths, and other areas.
- Pick up debris, litter, and trash including enclosed dumpster areas. Empty trash cans, remove graffiti, and clean restrooms and laundry rooms.
- Move, distribute, deliver, set up, and disassemble equipment, parts, supplies, and furniture.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet seat covers, toilet paper, and sanitary supplies.
- Assist the Maintenance Person with maintenance issues.
- Maintain and clean all common area marble, tile, and carpeting.
- Maintain logs and records.
- Clean and maintain sanitary conditions in the pool deck, bulkhead, spas, restrooms, and fixtures.
- Replace burned out light bulbs and fluorescent bulbs.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- One year of janitorial or relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow detailed oral/written instructions.
- Effective communication with coworkers and the public.
- Ability to walk, stand, and kneel for prolonged periods.
Travel Requirements: Moderate travel with reliable transportation; travel requirements may change.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
