PAE Government Services Inc. is hiring: Janitor in North Charleston

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Janitor in Ladson, SC, to provide cleaning and upkeep of an industrial facility. This is a full-time position.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (shifts may vary based on business demand).

Hourly Rate: $15.00 (rate to be determined by education, experience, and other factors).

Daily duties include:

• Cleaning and maintaining buildings/facilities.
• Performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and trash removal.
• Notifying managers of repairs or additions needed.
• Maintaining effective communication with clients and staff.
• Following safety, security, compliance, and quality standards.
• Completing assigned tasks flexibly.
• Cleaning floors, furniture, walls, and fixtures using appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Removing stains and applying floor finishes.
• Vacuuming carpeted areas and applying spot treatments.
• Gathering and disposing of trash and recyclables.
• Cleaning surfaces like tables, chairs, appliances, and fixtures.
• Servicing restrooms and cleaning glass surfaces.
• Maintaining janitor's closet and equipment.
• Monitoring building security and safety.
• Driving vehicles to other facilities for cleaning, if required.
• Providing support during client events as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant industrial or commercial cleaning experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility/security credentials (US citizenship or Permanent Residency required).

Physical/Special Requirements:

• Repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Walking extensively throughout the plant.
• Regularly lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Working at an accelerated pace in emergencies.
• Differentiating colors for cleaning materials.
• Wearing PPE including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hard hats.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
