Overview
The Maintenance Janitor is responsible for the maintenance of building appearance internal and external to the highest standard through regular housekeeping, inspection, preventative maintenance, and cleaning. The removal of Hazardous Waste from the building in accordance with all State and Federal Regulations. Ensuring availability of all supplies related to cleaning materials and production PPE.
Responsibilities
Follow daily cleaning schedule for designated production areas.
Operate floor scrubbers as necessary to keep the Plant floors as clean as possible at all times.
Maintaining a clean workplace throughout the Plant building.
Perform minor maintenance on scrubbers.
Keep all building maintenance tools and equipment in excellent condition at all times
Keep the outside property clean from litter and debris
Perform regular preventative maintenance on the low-risk machinery
Assistance with department expense within established budget.(Painting/Janitorial/Plant consumable supplies)
Maintain a sufficient inventory of supplies personnel use such as hand paper towels, hand cleaners, etc., keep the restrooms supplied at all times.
Maintain and stock external cleaning company's cleaning supply closet
Follow the Hazardous waste consolidation, remove and inspection audit requirements.
Hazardous Waste consolidation - every Tuesday
Hazardous Waste removal - as required by work instruction
Hazardous Waste inspections - Day of shipment, weekly, and monthly
MRB area organization - Attend MRB meeting every Thursday
Assist in the disposal of trash / recyclable materials company wide.
Safety inspections Weekly for Eye-Wash Stations
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Member of Safety Committee(SC)
Member Incidence Response Team(IRT)
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Have at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility
Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as lift trucks, tow motors or pallet handling equipment, order pickers, high lifts, forklifts, or cherry pickers
Have at least one (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts
Additional Information
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.
