Location: Chesapeake Regional Medical Center - 736 North Battlefield Boulevard, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Note: online applications accepted only.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings clean and orderly. Perform cleaning duties including floors, walls, glass, and trash removal following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors; move equipment and furniture as needed and restore to proper placement.
• Sanitize surfaces using assigned materials and equipment; follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and complete tasks with initiative; complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinishes floors; shampoo carpets as required.
• Contribute to the team and maintain professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience is required.
