Job Summary
This position encompasses the cleaning, dusting, and polishing of equipment, floors, restrooms, furniture, fixtures, mirrors, and windows. Able to mix chemicals and follow procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
- Gather trash and empty cans; service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Steam-clean and shampoo carpets; strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Move freely, reach, bend, and twist in confined spaces to hand clean.
- Operate vehicles and/or equipment required to perform or travel to cleaning sites including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
- Use cognitive skills to check condition, clean, sort, count, salvage, and/or store equipment.
- Work as a team or independently without direct supervision.
Requirements:
- Ability to navigate electronic devices (computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc).
- Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Capable of processing information in a timely manner.
- Must have and maintain a Valid Driver's License.
- Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Previous ramp or airline experience.
- Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certifications throughout employment.
- Must clear an FBI fingerprint background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
- Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noises.
Specific Working Hours:
- Must be able and flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holiday specific shifts to be determined.
- Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
