Job Description

The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Tasks may vary and require flexibility to meet client specifications.

Pay Rate: $17.28

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Empty and clean waste containers, remove waste paper and garbage, damp wipe containers.
• Empty and clean ash trays, monitor sand urns, and restore sand as needed.
• Dust image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings.
• Damp dust ceiling diffusers, air condition grilles, registers, and ventilating louvers.
• Vacuum mats and carpeted areas in workplaces, lobbies, and corridors.
• Hand dust and clean office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and flat surfaces.
• Clean and buff metal fixtures and hardware.
• Clean and maintain tile floors.
• Clean glass furnishings and entry door glass.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces like doors, frames, and light switches.
• Wash, clean, and sterilize water coolers.
• Sweep stairways and vacuum carpets.
• Clean floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Sanitize and restock bathroom supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in janitorial work.
