Job Purpose: The Executive Assistant to the President, Global CMO is responsible for providing a high level of support to our company’s CMO and global head of Creative Marketing. The EA will be a committed and extremely detailed person who is highly motivated, proactively engaged in managing daily activities as assigned, has a strong sense of urgency and uses the highest level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with all matters pertaining to the department and overall organization. Operating in a very fast-paced environment, the EA must be able to successfully partner with all employees of Sony Music Publishing, manage multiple activities and projects at any given time without skipping a beat, and provide an extremely high level of business and personal support to the CMO.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Ability to demonstrate and deliver an extraordinary level of high quality and professional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Proactively manage a very busy and ever-changing global calendar of internal and external meetings with attention to accuracy, detail and allocation of time and resources.
  3. Recognizes the need to proactively reprioritize, as appropriate, when business initiatives change.
  4. Acts and responds independently and without follow-up.
  5. Displays a strong sense of urgency and high level of responsiveness.
  6. Handles all information with the utmost discretion, integrity and confidentiality including documents, meetings, travel, phone calls, emails, etc.
  7. Responsible for a seamless roundtrip travel experience, including full-service execution of heavy domestic and international travel pertaining to flights, hotel accommodations, car service transfers, immigration paperwork, currency, international phone plans and more.
  8. Manage, process and track expense reports in a timely fashion.
  9. Collating internal and external presentations with a high degree of confidentiality.
  10. Organizing international conferences, including booking venues, coordinating AV, creating agendas, setting up hotel blocks for international guests, booking entertainment and group events.
  11. Corresponding with various affiliate offices regarding international deals, copyrights, and writers.
  12. Aiding with deal licensing: entering the deals into our proprietary system, finalizing paperwork and deal points with clients.
  13. Acting as point person for proprietary system updates.
  14. Assist with various projects and planning, as needed.
  15. Performs other general administrative activities including screening calls as the first point of contact, directing inquiries and determining the proper course of action.
  16. Manage some personal appointments and tasks, as needed.

Who You Are:

  1. 5 or more years experience providing support to executive level management in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Must have a best-in-class service approach with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of employees and an array of external clients and candidates.
  3. Ability to handle highly confidential, extremely complex, and non-routine information while maintaining confidentiality regarding all matters and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
  4. High emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
  5. Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  6. Must be exceptionally organized and be able to work efficiently.
  7. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with a strong eye for detail.
  8. Must be a fast learner and adaptable.
  9. Consistently demonstrates advanced problem-solving skills, exercises sound judgment and independent decision making.
  10. Strong follow-up skills and the ability to independently track and follow through on action items.
  11. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  12. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  13. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  14. Some Travel Required.
  15. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  16. 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events.
  17. Must be able to commute to our New York office.

DISCLAIMER: The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $62,000 - $65,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
