Overview

Do you have deep experience supporting a very high-level executive and staying calm under pressure? If you interact with senior management, a Senior Executive Support Professional position in Legal and Global Affairs (LGA) at The Walt Disney Company may be right for you. This role supports a Deputy Chief Counsel and a team of attorneys, working at the intersection of law, policy, and technology to help ensure privacy and data security compliance across Disney’s global business segments.

You will be a key member of a fast-paced, collaborative team based at the corporate center, serving leaders across all regions and departments. The role emphasizes professional partnerships with the executives you support and the ability to understand the leadership and workings of Disney enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, fact-check existing work, and prepare regular reports and summaries. You will own certain tasks completely and provide regular assistance on others.
  • Assist with regularly scheduled training for various Disney audiences, including setup and emceeing video conferences.
  • Create travel itineraries that may be multi-city or global, accounting for time zones, weather delays, traffic, and fatigue levels.
  • Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams; build relationships across all levels.
  • Review your leader’s schedule to allocate time for thinking and travel between meetings.
  • Understand the day’s priorities to be strategic about directing phone calls.
  • Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and video chats.
  • Be prepared to adapt the schedule for emergencies and resume when appropriate.
  • Handle confidential, sensitive information appropriate for a publicly traded company.
  • Draft letters, emails, and slide decks on behalf of leaders and proofread documents created by others.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and act as a friendly resource for questions from all levels, including very senior staff.
  • Manage large purchase orders and vendor contracts.
  • Plan large, high-profile events such as off-sites and team-building activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least two years of administrative support experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with flawless grammar and a rich vocabulary.
  • Desire to immerse yourself in all aspects of your executive’s business.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment and prioritize deadlines.
  • Proficiency with computers and office equipment; mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and Windows.
  • Calm, composed under pressure with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong relationship-building (EQ) skills to collaborate with colleagues and leaders.
  • Reliability handling confidential information.
  • Desire to be helpful and go the extra mile without being asked.
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to adapt as needed for business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at The Walt Disney Company.
  • Experience in a large public corporation, particularly within a legal department.
  • Deep experience with travel planning, budgeting, and expense reporting.
  • NetDocs experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.

Education

  • Preferred – Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
