Lead Caregiver - Hiring ASAP
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Lead Caregiver to join our dedicated care team!
Position: Lead Caregiver
Pay: $25/hour
Location: North County San Diego (Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos, Encinitas, Del-Mar)
Schedule: 40 hours a week, No NOCS, two weekends in a month
Requirements
- Valid Home Care Aide (HCA) license (California)
- Current TB test (within the last 12 months)
- Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience/ skilled care (leadership experience preferred)
- Reliable transportation (must be willing to drive 25 mile radius)
- CPR/First Aid certification
- CNA (preferred)
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate care and support to clients
- Assist with ADLs, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid knowledge of patient care, safety protocols, and infection control
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
- Handle complex or escalated care situations, including opening new client cases and providing solutions for challenging care needs.
- Mentor, train, and orient new caregivers; provide regular feedback, answer questions, and assist with peer reviews.
- Fill in for critical shifts, support short-notice coverage, and assist clients directly with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, incontient care, dressing, grooming, transfers, and companionship.
- Monitor and report changes in client condition, maintain accurate records, and ensure documentation compliance.
- Serve as a communication link between caregivers, clients, families, and agency managers.
- Promote a safe, clean, and positive environment for both clients and staff
