Job Summary:
DDC is seeking a qualified Waste Management Program Lead to direct hazardous and regulated waste operations in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage waste collection, storage, profiling, packaging, transport, and disposal.
- Maintain regulatory documentation including manifests and compliance reports.
- Conduct routine inspections and waste minimization evaluations.
- Supervise waste technicians and ensure safety and training compliance.
- Develop and provide training to the organization on waste management, spill response, waste identification, and labelling.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in RCRA hazardous waste management.
- Current 40 Hours HAZWOPER (29 CFR1910.120), RCRA, and DOT HAZMAT Transportation (49 CFR 172) Certifications.
- OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour General Industry Certification.
Required Expertise:
- Full cradle-to-grave oversight of hazardous waste programs.
- Experience with lab packing of complex chemical inventories.
- Ability to conduct compliance checks in daily, weekly, and monthly waste storage areas.
- Proper identification, labelling, and packaging of regulated wastes.
- Proficiency with computer programs to manage, track, and account for wastes.
