This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Production Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for all production and operating processes at our Blair, Nebraska location, which includes a local industrial wastewater treatment facility. You will oversee safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure employee, food, and feed safety and environmental compliance standards and goals are implemented.
- Be accountable for all internal and external operating and regulatory procedures related to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, aligning with corporate and government standards.
- Establish and deploy operational priorities for one or multiple plants with moderate complexity.
- Lead operations and quality management to meet customer, product, and quality standards within specifications.
- Manage capital and operating budgets to achieve financial performance objectives.
- Ensure direct reports meet operating expense targets.
- Oversee operational management and implement efficiency improvements, including standardization of systems, quality control, safety, and maintenance practices.
- Lead, develop, coach, and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least four years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Class 3 Wastewater Treatment Operating License or willingness to obtain one.
