All American Waste is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000, depending on experience.
Position Summary:
A Roll Off Driver safely operates a heavy-duty truck and is responsible for loading, unloading, and dumping food waste totes into a fixed body on the truck. After dumping totes, the driver is responsible for placing a new bag inside the tote with a rubber band and returning the tote to the customer's location. All services happen on the customer's site. The driver will dump at food waste locations, sometimes twice a day, as needed. This position is a full-time position with a start time typically at 430am. This position will serve many towns in Fairfield and New Haven County in Connecticut.
Your Role:
- Operates vehicles per Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
- Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and completes required paperwork.
- Notifies the Route Manager or Dispatch of any customer complaints, incidents, on-site service issues, or potential safety hazards.
- Communicates customer requests to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Family and Medical Leave ACT (FMLA) and other federal, state, and local standards.

Requirements:
- Commercial Driver\'s License B (CDL).
- Commercial Driver\'s License Class A or B with an air brake endorsement is a plus.
- The CDL is a requirement; therefore, an applicant must be 21.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
