About This Role:
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ
  • Pain Management Physician
  • Outpatient M-F Schedule - 8am -5pm
  • As a Pain Management Physician, you will lead patient-centered treatment plans to address chronic pain.
  • This role involves working closely with patients, referring providers, and a multidisciplinary care team to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized pain management treatment plans for patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Perform minimally invasive fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures
  • Injections, epidurals, radiofrequency ablation, nerve blocks, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulator trials
  • minimally invasive spinal interventions as appropriate including kyphoplasty, stimulator implants, intrathecal pump implants
  • minimally invasive lumbar decompression, and minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusions.
  • Prescribe medications and implement non-pharmacological pain management strategies.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive pain treatment plans.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with opioid prescribing regulations, pain management protocols, and quality care standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on advancements in pain management treatments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Background Desired:
  • MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or Neurology, or Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license (must be active before the first day of employment).
  • Active DEA Registration.
  • Two (2) years clinical practice experience in Pain Management preferred. New fellowship grad applications maybe be considered.
  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (Required) - ACGME approved fellowship.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • 2 Professional References.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience in interventional pain management procedures
  • Knowledge of pharmacological treatments for pain management including opioids, best practices and alternative pain therapies
  • Familiarity with chronic disease management
  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in Nerve Conduction Studies, preferred.
  • Experience providing primary (longitudinal) care.
