Responsibilities

• Operate disposal and auxiliary facilities in a specified sequence and in accordance with specified procedures. Log monitoring data and notify the Shift Supervisor.
• Control Room Operator duties and perform Sampler/Unloader duties when assigned.
• Monitor and respond to changes in well data; perform RCRA inspections per established schedules and procedures.
• Operate and monitor the steam boiler, Integrated Aqueous Waste Treatment System (IAWTS), and caustic scrubber system per procedures.
• Monitor and change out filters in cartridge filter housings as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor; participate in emergency response rescue team activities (Contingency Plan, confined space entry rescue, CPR, first aid).
• Participate in safety meetings, problem solving, and incident/near-miss investigations; promote safety and environmental policies.

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment; clean work station; report defective equipment; store and handle equipment or materials properly; participate in company training.
• Follow site safety and environmental policies and practices.
• Support safety investigations and risk reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: None required.
• Experience: 2 years relevant work experience.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

• None required

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

• RCRA training as listed (A1–A3, B3, C1–C4, OC1–OC5, etc.) and additional required trainings listed in the original posting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; general math skills.

D. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities that Contribute to Success

• Ability to operate and interpret monitoring equipment; safety-conscious and able to work in hazardous environments as applicable.
