A leading private real estate investment firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting for investment vehicles, joint ventures, and properties. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple asset classes including multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, and industrial, with direct exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
In addition to core responsibilities, roughly 25% of this role will support the Director of Finance on acquisitions, dispositions, and related financing activities, giving the Accounting Manager valuable deal-side experience and visibility into transactions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting
- Review reporting packages from external accountants and administrators
- Manage compliance with loan and partnership agreements
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, capital calls, and distributions
- Support quarterly waterfall calculations, valuations, and management fees
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and fund-level reporting
- Partner with the Director of Finance & Investment teams on acquisition and disposition accounting, financing transactions, and deal-related reporting
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a real estate enviorment
- Property, REIT or Real Estate Fund Accounting experience required
- Experience with Yardi or Appfolio a plus
- Highly organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities
