Competitive compensation of $125,000-$145,000 (Depends on experience)
Summary
Manage the month-end close process and ensure financials are delivered on a timely and accurate basis. Manage quarterly and annual external audits. Assist in the management of SOX compliance. Work with the accounting and finance departments to develop scalable, efficient accounting processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and the GL team, including overseeing the proper recording of accounting transactions in the General Ledger in accordance with GAAP and the Company's accounting policies.
- Facilitate monthly closings and issue timely and accurate monthly financial reports.
- Review and ensure accuracy of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Hire, recruit, train and lead department staff.
- Manage the quarterly and annual audit procedures for the GL team. Be the liaison for the external auditors to assist them in managing requests and gathering supporting documents for their audits.
- Assist in developing other internal control policies and procedures.
- Assist in the management of SOX compliance.
- Provide financial analysis support to functional and business groups including generation of ad hoc reports.
- Ensure that all employees are well informed of accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Facilitate consistency at all levels of accounting and finance operations.
- Lead various efforts to automate close procedures and manage Accounting and Finance IT projects.
- Recommend policy and procedure improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Directly supervise a team of employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field plus a minimum of 7 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel. Advanced knowledge of accounting and database software.
