Maintains an accounting system that accurately reflects the company's financial position. Collaborates with management and applies professional judgment to supplement accounting policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepares or coordinates the preparation of month-end closing and reconciles loans to the general ledger. Also, prepares the monthly loan reports.
- Assists the VP and Manager of Accounting with the allowance calculation, including utilizing third-party software, and prepares or reviews supporting schedules related to allowance inputs and outputs. This includes incorporating qualitative factors into the overall allowance balance.
- Understands banking software for loan interfaces and reviews loan-related general ledger accounts to ensure proper operation of interfaces.
- Prepares quarterly loan footnotes, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and related schedules.
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of special purpose reports and analyzes associated statistical loan reports.
- Keeps informed of system enhancements and updates to spreadsheet programs used by the department.
- Recommends additional system or report enhancements where appropriate.
- Assists with information requests from auditors and federal regulators.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry. You will be expected to acquire and maintain proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Completion of all assigned compliance training in a timely manner is required.

- Apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra, and statistical theory, including concepts like limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and theorem proofs.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and handle multiple variables.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.
