About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, particularly in ASC 606, Month-end Close procedures, and US GAAP. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, as well as maintaining the integrity of our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights on business performance and trends
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
Month-end Close Process
- Manage and streamline the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other closing activities
- Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for the close process
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
US GAAP Compliance
- Ensure all accounting practices and financial reporting adhere to US GAAP standards
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and training to team members on US GAAP principles and their application
Team Management and Development
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team
Internal Controls and Audit Support
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and interim reviews
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and other relevant regulations
Budget and Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for significant deviations
- Work closely with department heads to gather budget inputs and provide financial guidance
Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounting
