Accounting Support Position
D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently seeking an Accounting Support. The ideal candidate will perform various accounting and treasury functions under the supervision of the Land Funding Manager and/or Land Accounting Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Land Funding Manager in executing responsibilities, including division interaction, data entry, transaction posting, initial account analysis, and reconciliation.
- Process wire transfer activities, including incoming and outgoing transfers.
- Prepare journal entries for wire transfers in the accounting system.
- Record inventory related to wire transfers through journal entries.
- Assist in tracking and processes related to land funding through various projects.
- Utilize tools such as JDE, AS400, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Internet, and Outlook for transactional processing.
- Provide administrative support to the department.
Education and Experience
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with wire transfers and data entry.
- Strong clerical and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of banking operations.
- Ability to organize information effectively.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience with preparing, posting, and correcting journal entries.
- Ability to analyze transactions and resolve outages.
- Basic accounting knowledge; advanced knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency with Excel; advanced skills are preferred.
- Ability to review contracts and interpret key contractual information.
- Experience in escrow and/or homebuilding is a plus.
- Effective communication skills with various management levels.
