Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is ideal for a CPA with Big 4 (or large firm) experience who is looking to transition into industry and grow with a high-performing tech company. The Accounting Manager will manage daily accounting functions, drive process improvements, and support technical accounting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition processes.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 (revenue recognition for SaaS) and other relevant standards.
• Partner with FP&A and business leaders to provide insights into operating results.
• Support year-end audit and tax filings; serve as key liaison with external auditors.
• Assist with technical accounting research, memos, and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred).
• Experience in the technology or SaaS sector highly desirable.
• Strong technical accounting background (GAAP, ASC 606, consolidations).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
