Role EnerVenue is looking for an Accounting Manager, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting financial reporting. This role works closely with Accounting & Finance and cross-functional teams and helps drive process improvements. The role requires hands-on contribution in a fast-paced, start-up environment, with financial, accounting, and management skills and the ability to understand the big picture while being detail oriented. Key Responsibilities Assist the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger system, including chart of accounts, journal entries, accruals, adjustments and account reconciliations. Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring proper elimination of intercompany balances in consolidation. Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly variance analyses. Ensure internal controls and policies in financial reporting mechanisms and prevent inaccuracies in accounting statements. Assist with internal and external auditors, providing support and documentation for audits and reviews of GL. Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for financial reporting and regulatory filings. Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other teams to support overall financial goals. Assist in developing operational procedures and documentation of processes. Assist to drive process improvements and system automation initiatives. Assist in special projects and initiatives related to GL accounting, system implementations, or process enhancements. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications B.S. degree in accounting; master’s degree in accounting or MBA preferred; CPA a plus. 8+ years of experience in an accounting operations role or other operations position. Thorough understanding of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Manufacturing experience preferred. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Proficient in NetSuite system. An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
