**Job Title:** Teacher Education Institute Secretary
**Reporting Structure:** Teacher Education Coordinator, School of Education Chair
**Division:** College of Arts and Humanities
**Job Summary:** The TEI Institute Secretary provides support to the Teacher Education Program by assisting the TEI Coordinator and Assessment Coordinator in facilitating program goals. Duties and responsibilities are subject to modification at the discretion of the supervising TEI Coordinator and Chair of the School of Education.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular working hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with some evening and weekend hours as required.
- Maintain knowledge of procedures and policies for all programs in the College of Education and Teacher Education Programs.
- Schedule and manage appointments for the TEI Coordinator.
- Organize and maintain administrative records, forms, and reports.
- Record and prioritize phone messages and emails.
- Maintain an appointment calendar for the TEI Coordinator.
- Create electronic files of correspondence and reports.
- Prepare agendas and take minutes for meetings led by the TEI Coordinator.
- Assist with maintaining course schedules, rosters, textbooks, syllabi, and grades.
- Support the management of EDM 380 Professional Seminar and other reports.
- Maintain files on students, testing reports, and field experience procedures.
- Organize and prepare for student events and maintain a tickler file for activities.
- Verify credentials and assist with assessment data collection and analysis.
- Support the administration of LiveText Assessment software and maintain a student database.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized software.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the TEI Coordinator and Dean.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma required; exposure to undergraduate education courses preferred. Minimum of 2 years office administration experience preferred. Knowledge of educational programs, computer skills, and organizational skills are essential.

- Normal office environment; manual dexterity and sensory acuity.
- Mobility across campus; ability to sit, stand, walk, and carry light items.
