Overview
South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a central office administrative secretary to work in the special services department. This position is twelve (12) months with a seven and one-half (7.5) hour work day plus a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch.

About the District
South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and more than 5,100 public school students. SWPS comprises four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional atmosphere in an office that is in constant contact with members of both the school community and the community at large.
- Work closely with the supervisors of special education and the director of special services to monitor the implementation of applicable Board of Education policy.
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence, budget, grants, and reports.
- Maintain busy calendars and perform other office duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Positive interpersonal skills and well-developed organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of MS Office and other Windows-based applications.
- Previous experience with grants, related to special education, is desirable.
Salary & Benefits
Current entry rate is $31.01 per hour with incremental increases. 2025-2026: $31.01; $32.83; $34.66; $36.48.
