Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting clients and taking accurate messages when reception is not available, including proper return contact information
• Receiving deliveries by courier or messenger, and managing faxes
• Preparing and drafting legal documents for filing and correspondence
• Ensuring the accuracy of all documents
• Performing administrative duties such as research, filing, mailing, organizing files, and calendaring
• Conducting legal research as assigned
• Making copies and managing billable hours daily
• Performing other reasonable tasks as requested by firm management

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Law firm experience preferred
• Domestic law experience preferred
• Familiarity with PC programs
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Senior paralegal/legal assistant experience in family law or litigation is a plus
