Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This role is part-time (21 hours week).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Record and reconcile bank, credit card, online merchant transactions
- Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership and the Board
- Assist with budget development and monitoring
- Support annual audits and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online and Waycool Donor System
- Assist with Fundraising – Baby Bottle Blessings in Spring and Banquet in Fall
- Assist with other Bookkeeping duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A committed Christian who aligns with the mission and values of The Nest
- Previous bookkeeping experience required (nonprofit experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
Compensation and Schedule
- 21 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9-4pm)
